A broken one simply requires first replacing the belt and tensioner and then doing a compression or leak down test to determine which valves are bad, followed by cylinder head removal.Unlike other engines this engine does not have self adjusting valves. They have to be manually adjusted every 100-150K miles. Honda recommends 105K but in my experience around 150K is usually fine.
