Feb 1, 2019 · Ive read the manual too, here's my two cents. Engine oil- Mobil1 should be good, its good stuff. (I went 16,000 miles between oil changes on my truck once, it was still brown.) Brake fluid- dot 4 is higher temp rated than 3 so it probably doesn't matter. Coolant- 50/50 mixed should be fine. I think it takes green.

The front Polaris oil is specific to the Hillard-diff. It is thin for sure but there is no-way to increase the viscosity by using a different oil.
